Privacy Policy — Crowky YouTube Uploader
Last updated: September 2026
Crowky YouTube Uploader is a private desktop application used to manage authorized YouTube channels through the YouTube Data API v3.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the application accesses, how that information is used, and how it is stored.
Information accessed
The application may access information made available through YouTube API Services after the user grants permission through Google OAuth 2.0.
Depending on the enabled functionality, this may include:
- YouTube channel identification information
- Video IDs
- Video titles and descriptions
- Video visibility and publication status
- Upload status
- Video statistics such as views, likes, and comments
- YouTube Analytics data where separately authorized
- Other metadata necessary to upload, schedule, or analyze videos
The application does not request or collect the user's Google password.
OAuth authorization
Access to YouTube is provided through Google OAuth 2.0.
The user must explicitly authorize the application before it can access their YouTube account.
OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens may be stored locally on the user's device so the application can perform authorized actions without requiring the user to sign in again each time.
These credentials are not intentionally shared with third parties.
How information is used
YouTube API data is used only to provide functionality requested by the authorized user, including:
- Uploading videos
- Setting video metadata
- Scheduling publication
- Retrieving video performance information
- Organizing locally stored upload records
- Supporting automated content-management workflows
The application does not use YouTube API data for advertising.
The application does not sell YouTube API data or personal information.
Data storage
Application data may be stored locally on the device where the uploader is running.
This may include:
- OAuth credentials
- Video IDs
- Upload metadata
- Analytics snapshots
- Logs related to upload operations
Sensitive OAuth credentials are excluded from source-control repositories and should not be publicly shared.
Data sharing
The application does not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Data may be transmitted to Google and YouTube as required to perform actions through YouTube API Services.
No other disclosure is intended except where required by law or necessary to operate the authorized functionality.
Data retention and deletion
Locally stored application data may be deleted by the application operator at any time.
The user may also revoke the application's Google account access through their Google Account security settings.
After authorization is revoked, the application will no longer be able to access the user's YouTube account unless authorization is granted again.
Third-party services
This application uses YouTube API Services.
By using the application, the user is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
and the YouTube Terms of Service:
https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
Users may review or revoke third-party application access through their Google Account:
